Who do I confess my sins to?

This is actually an easy question to answer. Jesus gave the authority he had to forgive sins to his apostles. The apostles transmitted this authority to their successors and so forth. This is what is meant by Apostolic Succession. Therefore on earth a Priest has the authority to forgive sins in God's name. So got to confession. What concern es me more is your lack of faith in the authority of the Church. Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom to Peter. he said to him Thou art "petros" rock, in Greek (Peter) and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. How could you think that Jesus ever abandoned that Church is beyond me.
