If a woman has the right to choose then why do men have to pay child support?

Whoever doesn't have primary custody pays child support. Usually us men are proven the worst choice for primary custodian so we have to help pay for the child we produced. But I do know a couple of women who left their husbands for another man, the father got primary custody and these women pay the child support to the men.
