Which statistical test should i use?

I am doing a survey on 1 group of people on their opinions of educational needs. There will be analysis between the group depending on job type, years qualified and speciality. As well as picking out topics that they would find useful on a yes no basis, and some free-form boxes for extra comments. I am using a quantitative survey methodology. But I am really struggling on which statistical test to use. Please help.......
