I do get what you're saying but that's probably because I'm theistic agnostic. Metaphysical concepts are a matter of belief. Technically, proof is for analytical statements which is the domain of mathematics and pure logic (which I suppose is a branch of mathematics). Science is in the domain of the empirical, things that can be measured, value judgements are for emotions and personal likes and dislikes and metaphysics is where beliefs go. People get into trouble when they try to use the wrong tools, like trying to use science on metaphysics or value judgements etc.
