If God is all powerful and all loving...?

Then why is there a hell. First off shouldn't an all powerful being be able to destroy it. And secondly, wouldn't god know that some of his creations wouldn't believe and would be condemned to hell. If he's truly loving, why would he create them even though he knows they'll end up suffering in hell? This is probably the biggest sticking point for me in my walk...

I've met someone from aa?

Let me prelude by saying that I have 3 family members that either are in, or have been in the program and I don't agree with aa methodology and theory. I recently met someone from aa, who I really like. We hit it off really well, communicate well and seem to be very compatable. I quickly found out that he is "breaking the rules" by seeing me. His sponsor has givin him flack, telling him that he shouldn't have any entanglements at this point and even when he thinks that he's ready, it should only be somone from aa. I don't like how aa demands that one deny him/herself all life experiences when they are there to only strip one bad habit from their life. I'm not conviced that addiction really is an incurable disease. Let's say that I have an incurable tumor, could I simply will it away? The answer is no. However, millions of people have quit drinking, over eating, biting their nails, smoking, etc. by sheer willpower alone. That's because addiciton is not a disease, it's a habit or a behavior. But I do think aa wishes to brain wash one into thinking that alcoholism or any addiction is an incurable disease, to keep them coming back, giving money and bringing in new members. This is what makes me feel that aa's methodology is junk psycology and just another pontificatious dogma and seems to be incestuously cult like. However, as mentioned earlier, I really like this guy and want to date him, what should I do?

Why do people believe in God?

I believe in God because I've seen how God transforms hearts and heard testimonies about how God worked and is continue working in people's lives. (:

My friend treats her 3 year old son like a girl?

Since he was a year and a half my friend started painting her son's nails, putting makeup on him and dressing him up in little girl's clothes. She takes pictures of him all dressed up and posts them on Facebook. She has admitted before that she is a feminist and wants to raise a "special" child and that children with gender disorders intrigue her. I can't help but think the worst - that she is screwing with his mentality for her own personal wants and beliefs. I spend a lot of time with them and I baby sit him from time to time and when she's not around he wants to go play outside in the dirt or will see toys for little boys at the store and asks me to buy them for him but when his mother is around all he wants is girl themed toys, jewelry, makeup, etc. I just don't understand. I am not opposed to children who have gender issues, as I do believe the brain is a powerful tool and some people may not feel comfortable in their skin as a female/male. I just feel like my friend is pushing her son into her beliefs and I don't think that this is healthy for him in the long run. I am going to talk to her about this - not to be rude but to better understand my friend on another level. I just need some words of advice so I don't feel so nervous about asking her why. How would you go about this situation?

If god proved his existence, how would that affect mans free will to choose to accept/love him?

god should be capable if he is all powerful, and he should be willing if his prominent desire is to obtain our love and acceptance. I believe by making himself directly observable to everyone (he could make it so we know its god without blowing our minds if hes all powerful) he would be setting the best conditions possible to gain our love and acceptance. we could still choose to reject him so free will applies. the best conditions to genuinely love someone is to interface with them directly, its easier to come to love someone whose existence isnt debatable. This would end atheism, agnosticism, and unite all relgions to the 'right' religion -gaining god more followers. by not proving his existence he has much less followers. why not prove he exists, shouldnt he know exactly what sort of evidence every individual needs to believe he exists?

This has nothing to do with a sense of humor, and everything to do with a sense of appropriateness. An employer is looking for people with good judgment. Sense of humor or not - it isn't going to demonstrate that.
